These are resources I’ve mentioned in podcast episodes, blog posts, Twitter chats, and broadcasts through Facebook Live or Periscope. If I’m affiliate for a particular service, then I’ve included my affiliate link. Hope you find these helpful. Vickie
Build Your Personal Brand and Grow as an Entrepreneur
I’ve been a member of Youpreneur since September 2015 when Chris Ducker launched this membership site. It’s an amazing community and bank of resources for people building a personal brand and growing as an entrepreneur. The community members range in experience from those who are dreaming of launching a business to people who are veteran entrepreneurs or business owners. The site serves as a back stage pass for accessing thought leaders you likely wouldn’t get to learn from otherwise. I’ve made many connections through the networking opportunity afforded by Youpreneur. The site is opened a few times a year. If you follow this link when the site is open, it will take you to a landing page for joining Youpreneur. If the site is closed when you follow the link, you’ll go to a page for signing up for the wait list. Youpreneur
Most of the tools and books I mention are available through Amazon.com. It’s such an easy service to use for purchasing gear and resources.
Online Learning – take a course through Udemy
Are you an avid lifelong learner? Taking an online course is a great way to gain new skills and explore new topics. I make it a point to be taking an online course at any given point in the calendar. Since I’m a course designer, it’s a great way to see how others are building their courses, but in the process of taking a course, I continue to expand my knowledge and my thinking. I have several favorite e-learning portals and Udemy is definitely one of the top three for me. You can click on the banner below and browse the Udemy platform for a course you’d like to take. I’m always interested to visit with online learners for my podcast, so if you’d like to talk about your experience, please contact me. Now, go get yourself signed up for an online course in Udemy!
Web Hosting – for hosting your website or blog
This website is hosted by BlueHost, which I have found to be a really user-friendly service to use that provides great customer service. I first learned about BlueHost through one of the podcasts I listen to on a regular basis, so I followed that affiliate link to get my BlueHost account as a way to say thanks for the show. I greatly appreciate it if you decide to use BlueHost and follow my link to order the service! Just click the banner graphic below and your visit to BlueHost will be affiliated with my account. You’re the best!!
Online Course Platform – for teaching hosting and teaching your online course
There are many wonderful online course platforms that are available to use. One of my favorites for the business owner who already has a strong mailing list is Kajabi Next. You pay a monthly subscription for access to post your courses on this platform, which gives you lots of flexibility in what you can post – unlike a platform in which you need to be approved as an instructor and your course content is reviewed and approved prior to your course going live.
Kajabi Next is super easy to navigate as you develop sections and lessons to go in your course. It is designed for the instructor who is creating a self-study course that primarily consists of video content and other media files (pdfs, jpgs, etc.). The comment section is easy to find for students and instructors alike. The platform tracks a student’s progress through the material making it easy to see where you left off the last time you were studying the materials in the course. The monthly subscription rate for Kajabi Next varies depending on the number of courses you plan to host. Please follow this affiliate link if you’d like to sign up for Kajabi Next as an instructor: https://www.kajabinext.com/r/aLWF3Npb
Email List Management, Opt-in Forms, Surveys
GetResponse is the service I use for my email list management. It is a user-friendly service with a variety of opt-in forms you can customize for use on your site to collect email addresses. You can store your response item (the item you give to people as a thank-you for adding their email to your list) – such as a pdf file or audio file, under “Integrations” and then “Multimedia Studio.” If you follow this link to set up a GetResponse account, you get a $30 credit to start out and I receive the same amount from GetResponse for referring you to the service. It’s another neat affiliate program.
Young Living Essential Oils
I’m a fan of using essential oils as part of my daily work life – from diffusing them at my desk or in my kitchen as I work, to creating blends to use for helping repel insects around my farm animals, to many other uses. If you’re interested in ordering, you can order either as a retail customer or sign up as a distributor and get a 24% discount on the prices of oils.
Disclosure: Some of the links on this page are affiliate links. If you follow my affiliate links to purchase a product or service, I receive a commission for your purchase through the link. This is one of the ways I help cover the expenses and time of operating the blog, podcast and free scopes, webinars and tweet chats.
