One of the ways you can glean ideas from the projects I’m working on and the people I come in contact with is by subscribing to the podcasts by Vickie Maris. You will find both audio podcasts in iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play Music and other podcast directories.
I would be delighted to have you become a subscriber to either or both of the shows, Heartsong Fit and Online Course Connections. Below you will find notes about the two shows.
Online Course Connections
Vickie Maris brings you interviews with innovative course designers, online instructors, elearners, and entrepreneurs who have played a role in the design, development, launch or evaluation of online courses. She shares tips and techniques from her over 30 years in corporate America and higher education, which included leading a team that designed and ran an online Lean Six Sigma certification program that generated over $2.3 million in revenue annually in Engineering Professional Education. She shares insights from this experience as well as insights gained from being a student of online courses and membership sites of Brendan Burchard (Total Product Blueprint), Chris Ducker (Youpreneur Academy), John Lee Dumas (Podcasters’ Paradise) and Kim Garst (Periscope and Boom Social).
Learn a variety of design approaches and tools you can use to connect your customers with your instructional content. Subscribe to the show for twice monthly episodes that will help you align solutions to your customer’s pain points.
If you’re currently simply recording videos and uploading them to a learning platform, the Online Course Connections podcast can help you incorporate instructional design theory and concepts for improving the learning experience, your student engagement, retention and referrals.
You can provide great content in the form of a course, while at the same time making the course into something that aligns with your customers’ learning styles, preferences and goals.
Heartsong Fit With Vickie Maris
Heartsong Fit with Vickie Maris is conversation for the stressed and stretched-too-thin listener. I chat with interesting people whom I call “Everyday Heroes,” who handle life stresses in healthy ways.
I also take you on hikes with the llamas; on visits to a remote fishing resort in Minnesota and back to the 1940s in conversations with my mom, Lucille Maris, and others who lived through the stresses of World War 2. In short segments at the end of several episodes, Lucille talks about life being married to a B-24 pilot (my dad) and their experiences on military base going through training and then being separated by an ocean during World War 2 (WW2).
You’ll be fascinated as you hear her tell of how she dealt with the stresses of the life of a military wife, deployment of a spouse, and long distance love.
You’ll also hear me and my husband, Scott Greeson, chat about our music, about songwriting and performing for live audiences. Music has always been a way for us to find release from the tension of fast-paced careers.
Note: If you’re searching for our music, please search on either Vickie Maris or Scott Greeson in iTunes or cdBaby, or visit our music website, www.scottgreesonmusic.com.
